Our vision
It began with a spark: a vision born from dreams and the quiet hum of memory. At De Insomniis Theatre, our work is stitched from lived stories: autobiographical fragments carried across borders, passed down in kitchens, whispered in unfamiliar streets. We follow the red thread, a symbol of connection and storytelling, as it binds together our voices, bodies, and histories. Every gesture, every silence, is shaped with the intimacy of a small company and the urgency of truth. Guided by integrity and a deep belief in theatre’s power to transform, we create performances where personal becomes universal, and the stage becomes a place of resistance, healing, and belonging.
Diaspora Inferno: From My Grandmother's Kitchen explores an urgent topic of migrant women’s lived experience.

I went to Elona’s last show and knew this one would be good, but I truly didn’t expect DIASPORA INFERNO to be this enjoyable. And even though the ending wrapped everything up perfectly, I have to admit I was a little disappointed to step out of the energy and freedom the actresses created within this story.
